    Description & features

The St. Patrick's Day tattoo sleeve is a 40 cm skin-colored fabric sleeve, printed with green clovers, Celtic knots and a ribbon with the word Lucky. You slide it over your arm, so the print runs from your wrist to above your elbow and looks like a full tattoo. Under a short-sleeved shirt, the green comes out best. Both women and men wear it during St. Patrick's Day.

What exactly is on the tattoo sleeve?

    • The sleeve is 40 cm long and has a light, skin-colored background.
    • Both ends have a border of light green braided work, and between them run dark green Celtic knots, triple knots and black curls.
    • In the middle of the arm is a large clover leaf with a ribbon on which Lucky is written, surrounded by smaller clovers.
    • The back carries a mirrored pattern of knots and clovers, so that the print continues all around.
    • The material is 95% polyester and 5% nylon.
    • Wash the sleeve by hand.

Clover and knotwork as an Irish symbol

St. Patrick's Day is the Irish holiday in honor of Saint Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, and is celebrated worldwide with green clothing and parades. The three-leaf clover, in English shamrock, is the best-known symbol of that holiday. The intertwining lines without beginning or end are Celtic knotwork, a decorative pattern that you can see in Ireland on old stone crosses and in manuscripts. Together they make this fake tattoo a recognizable Irish design.

This is how you wear the tattoo sleeve during an Irish pub night

Anyone going to the pub or a parade during St. Patrick's Day preferably combines the sleeve with a plain black or dark shirt, because then the green stands out. A green top hat or a headband with mini-hats completes the Irish theme without you needing a whole costume. If you are wearing a waistcoat, let the sleeve come out from under the armholes, so that the clover with Lucky remains clearly visible. Because you simply take it off, you are not left with ink or face paint on your skin afterwards.

Order the St. Patrick's Day tattoo sleeve and celebrate the Irish holiday with a green tattoo that you can take off again at the end of the evening.
