      Description & features

The Charleston gold sequin headband is a narrow headband covered in gold sequins, with two tall black feathers on one side. The band immediately evokes the atmosphere of the 1920s: jazz music, the Charleston on the dance floor, and women with short hair who went out late into the night. It is designed for women and is perfect for a 1920s party, a cabaret evening, or a glamorous event.

Sequins, feathers and care for the headband

      • The front of the band is densely covered with gold sequins that overlap like scales.
      • Two black feathers stand upright on the side, extending well above your head.
      • The headband is made of 100% polyester and contains non-textile materials of animal origin.
      • The style is designed for women and comes from the Widmann brand.
      • Hand wash the band, do not bleach, and do not tumble dry. Iron at a maximum of 110°C; do not dry clean.

Why did flappers in the 1920s wear headbands with feathers?

Flappers wore headbands with feathers because they suited the free-spirited nightlife of the 1920s, when women wore their hair short and danced the Charleston. A narrow band worn low across the forehead complemented a short bob hairstyle, while an upright feather added height to the silhouette. Shimmering fabrics and sequins moved with the dancer and caught the light in jazz clubs.

Make your flapper look instantly recognizable with the gold headband

A flapper look is instantly recognizable with a straight dress with fringes or sequins that falls around the knees. A long pearl necklace, long black gloves, and a cigarette holder complete the period look, and if you have long hair, a black bob wig with bangs provides the typical hairstyle. These accessories are not included, as you will only receive the headband with the feathers. Wear the band low across your forehead so that the black feathers on the side point upwards.

Order the Charleston gold sequin headband and dance the whole evening at your 1920s party with a golden shine and black feathers.
