The bee headband is a narrow, dark headband with two springy spiral antennae, each ending in a bright yellow ball. You place it just behind your hairline, so the antennae stick out above your head. Combine it with a yellow-and-black outfit and your bee look will be instantly recognizable. This bee headband is available for women and men and is perfect for Carnival or a costume party.

Why do antennae complete a bee costume?

Antennae, along with yellow-and-black stripes, are the features that make a bee recognizable at first glance. A real bee uses its two antennae to smell and feel, for example to find flowers. The yellow balls on springs translate that image into something playful. Without antennae, a yellow-and-black shirt can easily be mistaken for an ordinary striped outfit.

During a Carnival parade, you will be outside and moving for hours. Therefore, place the headband slightly behind your hairline and, if you have long hair, let a few strands fall over it, so that the antennae stand out. A yellow dress or top with black stripes or dots and a pair of sheer wings complete the bee look. At an indoor costume party, the same headband also works with a simple black shirt and some yellow face paint on your cheeks.
