Dwarf Isa

Dwarf Isa is a three-piece gnome costume for children, consisting of a dress, a green apron, and a red pointed hat with a yellow flower.

With this outfit, your toddler or preschooler will become a cheerful forest gnome that looks like it just stepped out of a picture book, with a red-and-white polka-dot skirt that resembles a mushroom. Your child can wear it during Carnival, but it is just as suitable for a fairy tale party or a dress-up party at home.

Three parts of the gnome dress

• You receive three parts: the dress, the apron, and the hat.
• The dress has a yellow top with a round collar and short sleeves, and a red skirt with white dots that is finished at the hem with a green zigzag trim.
• The green apron has ruffles on the shoulders and a sewn-on mushroom on the front.
• The red pointed hat has a curled tip and a yellow flower on the side.
• The costume is available in size 86-92 cm, approximately 1.5 to 2 years, and in size 98-104 cm, approximately 3 to 4 years.
• The costume is made of 100% polyester.
• According to the washing instructions, you must not wash it, dry clean it, bleach it, tumble dry it, or iron it.

Why does a mushroom belong with a gnome?

Gnomes traditionally live in fairy tales and picture books in the forest, among tree roots and red-and-white polka-dot mushrooms, and therefore that mushroom and the red pointed hat are the two things by which everyone recognizes a gnome. In Dutch, the words dwarf and gnome are often used interchangeably: both are small forest dwellers with a pointed hat. While a gnome costume usually consists of trousers and a jacket, this is a dress with a separate apron over it, so choose it if your little one prefers to run around in a skirt.

This is how the gnome dress becomes instantly recognizable

A red pair of leggings or tights under the skirt carries the color of the hat down, so that the silhouette is correct from head to toe. Brown or red shoes fit the forest look. Give your child a toy watering can or basket, and they will become a garden gnome watering the mushrooms. A few red dots on the cheeks complete the fairy tale face.
