Creepy Clown decoration 50cm

The scary clown decoration is a 50 cm hanging Halloween figure with a white clown head, red tufts of hair and a grinning mouth full of teeth. Hang it where your guests enter or walk past: in a doorway, from a beam or against a dark wall. It is perfect for a Halloween party, a spooky evening or a horror-themed party in a hall.

How can you recognize this scary clown decoration?

• The figure measures 50 cm and hangs freely, so the fabric moves slightly in the draft.
• The body consists of a wide-flaring black mesh fabric with frayed points at the bottom and sides.
• Around the neck is a green collar of coarse, frayed threadwork that extends over the chest.
• The face is grey-white with black-outlined eyes, red pupils, a round red nose and red lips around a wide grin showing teeth.
• On the head are five upright red tufts of hair that point upwards from the skull.
• The material is 100% polyester.
• Do not wash, bleach, tumble dry, iron or dry clean.

Why is a scary clown different from an ordinary circus clown?

A circus clown is intended to be colourful and friendly, while this scary clown decoration turns those familiar features upside down: the round nose and wide smile remain, but the pale face, red pupils and row of teeth make it menacing. That contrast between familiar and wrong is why the horror clown has been associated with Halloween for years. The black mesh fabric helps with this, as it does not show a clear body and keeps the figure mainly a silhouette. Choose this model if you want a figure that hangs at eye level and moves, rather than a figure that stands still on a table.

How to use the scary clown decoration at your party

Hang it just above eye level in a hallway or stairwell, so the points of the fabric brush past your guests. Placing a lamp low or shining it from below enhances the shadows on the face, and in a hall it looks best against a plain dark background. Combine it with other hanging spooky figures at different heights and some loose cobwebs around the collar, and the green threadwork will blend beautifully into the rest of your decor. It can also be used outside on a carport or veranda, provided it stays dry, as this fabric is not intended to be washed or get wet.
