Boot covers black Striker

The black Striker boot covers are tall covers that you pull over your own shoes, making it look as if you are wearing buckled boots. Combine them with wide trousers, a puff-sleeved blouse and a hat with a feather, and you will look like a musketeer on the street during carnival without having to buy real boots. The overshoes are designed for men.

How are the boot covers fastened and what are they made of?

• Straps with a metal buckle run along the outside of each cover, and there is a zip on the side.
• A wide band runs along the instep at the bottom and goes under the shoe.
• The top edge ends in a pointed, slightly flared cover above the knee at the front.
• The material is 95% polyurethane and 5% iron.
• The boot covers are not washable.

The boot cover in the musketeer look

Tall boots with a wide cover at the top are part of the image of the musketeer, the soldier with a rapier, cape and felt hat from the famous adventure stories. That cover above the knee makes the silhouette recognisable, even if the rest of the costume is simple. With loose leg covers you achieve exactly that silhouette, while simply walking around in your own shoes. Because they are not washable, you wipe them down after the party instead of putting them in the washing machine.

This is how it becomes a complete musketeer costume with boot covers

Start at the bottom: the covers look best over tight-fitting trousers or trousers tucked into the cover, so that the top edge protrudes freely above the knee. Above that, a tunic with a cross on the chest or a blouse with wide sleeves fits, finished with a cape over one shoulder. A wide hat with a large feather and a toy rapier on the belt complete the look. Wear shoes with a flat sole underneath, then the instep band will fit neatly over them.
