Flag Belgium

The Belgian flag is the Belgian tricolour with three vertical bands in black, yellow and red, measuring 90 by 150 centimetres. The bands are of equal width and the colours appear as solid blocks next to each other, without a coat of arms, text or border. Hang it in the supporters' corner during a football match, or use it to decorate a national party in the Belgian colours.

The tricolour in size and colour

• The size is 90 by 150 centimetres, a horizontal rectangle.
• The three bands are vertical and are of equal width.
• Black is on the left, yellow in the middle and red on the right.
• The colours are solid, without a coat of arms, crown or print.
• You receive the flag as a standalone item from the brand Funny Fashion.

How does the Belgian flag differ from the German tricolour?

The Belgian flag has vertical bands in black, yellow and red, while the German flag has horizontal bands in black, red and gold. When hanging it up, the black band should be on the side of the flagpole or rope. This way, you can immediately see the difference from a distance, even in a café full of supporters from both countries. If you are looking for a Belgian flag with a crown, this is not that version: this is the plain tricolour that you see flying with the national team.

Black, yellow and red throughout the room

A Belgian flag stands out most when the colours are repeated elsewhere in the room. Hang it behind the screen on which the match is shown and place decorations in the same three colours around it, then the corner will be unmistakably Belgian. For a national party, give each table its own country, and then this flag will mark the Belgian table. Those taking part themselves can incorporate black, yellow and red into their face paint or clothing.

Order the Belgian flag and hang up the tricolour before the first ball rolls.
