PXP Big Unicorn dream 50gr split cake

The PXP Big Unicorn dream 50gr splitcake is a 50-gram face paint block with six color bands, ranging from lilac and dusty pink to mint green and blue. The soft shades with a light sheen match the dreamy image of a unicorn with rainbow manes, the mythical creature the name also refers to. You can use it to paint a face or body during carnival or for a party where fairy tale characters and mythical creatures are the theme.

Color bands and size of the Unicorn dream

• The block weighs 50 grams and comes from the brand PXP Professional Colours.
• From top to bottom, the bands are in lilac, dusty pink, copper orange, light yellow, mint green, and blue.
• The colors have a soft pearlescent sheen instead of a matte finish.
• The splitcake comes in a white, rectangular tray, so you can clearly see the bands apart.
• The face paint is easy to apply and the colors blend into each other.

Why does a splitcake suit a unicorn look so well?

A splitcake gives you a full color gradient in one stroke, and that exact gradient belongs to the unicorn, which in stories and drawings is often depicted with manes and a tail in rainbow shades. You take a flat brush or a sponge across the bands, after which all six colors come out on the skin next to each other at the same time. Because these bands go from cool lilac via warm orange to blue, you don't need separate pots to build up a rainbow stroke or wings. Choose this block if you want a full gradient in pastel shades, instead of a few bright basic colors.

Black lines, a horn and glitter with your splitcake

A butterfly or unicorn only really takes shape with thin black lines along the edges, which you apply with a fine brush and separate black face paint. A headband with a unicorn horn on your head immediately makes it clear which mythical creature you are. With some cosmetic glitter over the pastel bands and silver-colored earrings or a hair clip, you carry the sheen of the face paint through to the rest of your outfit.
