Pumpkin foil balloon

The pumpkin foil balloon is a round foil helium balloon with an orange pumpkin print, a green stem and a carved pumpkin face. You can use it as a hanging or floating decoration at home, in a party venue or in a shop window. The face is on both sides of the balloon, with different eyes and a grinning mouth, so it remains recognizable from any angle.

Features of the pumpkin foil balloon

• The balloon is round and tapers at the top into a green stem with a leaf.
• The print is orange with red and yellow shadow lines that mimic the ridges of a pumpkin.
• On each side is a black pumpkin face with a triangular nose and a wide, jagged mouth.
• The balloon is made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET foil).
• There is an inflation opening at the bottom to inflate the balloon.

Why choose a foil pumpkin instead of a regular latex balloon?

Foil retains gas longer than latex, allowing a foil pumpkin to remain a beautiful decoration for days on end. In addition, the print on foil can be printed sharply and in multiple colours, which makes a difference with a pumpkin face featuring shadow lines. A latex balloon distorts when inflated and stretches the print. Therefore, choose the foil pumpkin if you want to keep the face clearly recognisable and use the balloon for more than one evening.

The pumpkin as a Halloween image

The carved pumpkin with a grinning face is the most famous Halloween image and comes from the tradition of placing a light inside a hollowed-out fruit to ward off evil spirits. In a smiling version like this, the image is friendly rather than scary, which is useful if there are children at the party. That is why the pumpkin is just as suitable for a children's party in October as for a spooky evening for adults.

Combining the pumpkin foil balloon at your party

Hang the balloon at eye level by the door or above the table with sweets so that the face immediately catches the eye. A group of several balloons at different heights creates more depth than a single balloon on its own. Combine the orange print with black garlands or orange and black table decorations to keep the colour scheme of your Halloween decorations simple and recognisable.
