Crank 3 Meter Rudder (Fire Safe)

The 3-metre ship’s wheel garland is three metres of maritime decoration: a chain of cutout ship’s wheels in alternating white and blue. The steering wheel instantly brings to mind the harbour, with sailboats at the quay and sailors in striped shirts. This ship’s wheel garland is perfect for a sailor-themed party or any other party with a sea or shipping theme.

What do the ship’s wheels on this garland look like?

• The garland is 3 metres long in total.
• White and blue ship’s wheels alternate, creating a regular pattern.
• Each wheel has a wide ring with eight spokes that end in round handles, just like a real steering wheel.
• A vertical fold runs through the centre of each wheel.
• The garland is made of 96% paper, 2% cotton and 2% glue.
• The packaging states that the garland is flame-retardant.
• According to the packaging, this is decoration and not a toy, it is not suitable for children under 14 years of age and should be kept away from fire.

Steering wheel, anchor and lifebuoy as imagery of the sea

The ship’s wheel is the steering wheel used to keep a ship on course, and together with the anchor and the lifebuoy, it is one of the best-known maritime symbols. Blue and white belong to that same image, from the water to the striped sailor shirt. A ship’s wheel garland captures that theme in one go, even in a room that otherwise has little to do with the sea.

Decorating a sailor-themed party with the ship’s wheel garland

For a sailor-themed party, hang the garland in an arch above the bar or along a stair handrail, so it feels as though you are stepping on board. With three metres, you can frame a doorway or the edge of a buffet table. Guests with a sailor cap or a striped shirt will naturally complement the blue and white of the wheels. Do hang it away from candles and other open flames, as the packaging states.

Order the 3-metre ship’s wheel garland and give your party space the colours of the harbour.
