Clapperboard Clapperboard Hollywood 18x20 cm

The Hollywood 18x20 cm film clapperboard is a black board with white lettering and a black-and-white striped clapper that hinges on a pin. Grab it for a movie night at home or a costume party where you play the director. Ladies and gentlemen can use it just as well as a prop in hand as on the wall as decoration.

Lettering and size of the film clapperboard

• The board measures 18 by 20 centimeters, small enough to hold in one hand.
• The clapper on top has diagonal black and white stripes, and the fixed edge underneath carries the same striped pattern.
• On the black surface, the words production, director and camera are printed in white capital letters, each followed by a blank line.
• At the bottom, white lines divide the board into three sections for date, scene and take.
• The clapper is attached to the board with a silver-colored pin on the left side, so you can stand it up and close it.

How does this clapperboard differ from a clapperboard on a real film set?

A clapperboard on a film set indicates the start of a shot: the sharp click of the clapper can be heard on both the image and the sound, so that the editor can align the two exactly later. The sections for scene and take tell the editor which shot they have in front of them. This film clapperboard has the same layout and the same striped top, but is intended as a party favor and prop. So choose it for the recognizable film atmosphere, not for professional recording.

A director's look around the clapperboard

A director theme is only complete when someone actually gives the starting signal. Combine the clapperboard with a black outfit, a beret or cap and possibly a megaphone, and shout "action" before you drop the clapper. At a movie night, place it next to the popcorn or hang it at the entrance, so guests immediately see which way the evening is going.

Order the film clapperboard and give the starting signal yourself for every scene at your next movie night.
