    Description & features

The Operapunk mask is an asymmetrical half mask in a copper look that covers your forehead, both eyes and one cheek. A ribbed spiral tube winds across that cheek from the jawline to a small gear next to the nose, and a large toothed wheel protrudes above the forehead. Women and men wear this steampunk mask during carnival, at Halloween, at a steampunk party or at a masquerade ball.

Which part of your face does this steampunk mask cover?

The Operapunk mask covers your forehead, the bridge of your nose, both eyes and one cheek down to the jaw, while your mouth, chin and the other cheek remain free. This means you can talk, drink and laugh normally while wearing the mask.

    • The front has a brushed copper colour with dark, weathered streaks, while the inside is black.
    • Gears in different sizes and a spiral tube are applied to the mask as relief.
    • A narrow side strip towards the ear features two rows of small round rivets.
    • A black band runs around the back of your head to keep the mask in place.
    • The mask is made of 77% polypropylene, 20% EVA and 3% polyester.
    • The design is intended for women and men.

The half opera mask in steampunk style

Steampunk is a style that combines the Victorian era with imaginary steam machines, and gears, copper and rivets are its characteristic features. The half-face mask that leaves one side of the face free comes from the world of theatre and opera, where it became known through the masked ghost in the opera house. The name Operapunk brings these two together: the silhouette of a theatre mask with steampunk mechanics on it.

Makeup, jewellery and glasses with the gear mask

Because half of your face remains visible, makeup on that side counts. Dark eyeshadow around the eye holes makes the mask look deeper, and dark red lipstick provides a bright contrast with the copper. Choose jewellery in bronze or copper, such as a pocket watch on a chain or a pair of heavy rings, so that it matches the colour of the mask. Steampunk glasses on a top hat complete the look without clashing with the mask.

Choose the Operapunk mask and you will stand at your next party as a character that is half human and half machine.
