Caged Skeleton 50cm Costume Guus

The 50cm caged skeleton costume Guus is a 50-centimeter hanging Halloween decoration: a plastic skeleton in a narrow, coffin-shaped cage that hangs from three chains. The cage has a silver-grey, deliberately weathered finish with visible rivets on the crossbars. The skeleton's hands and forearms protrude through the bars, enhancing the image of a prisoner.

What exactly does this caged skeleton look like?

• The total height is 50 cm, with the chain as the hanging point at the top.
• The cage is made of 50% PE and 50% ABS.
• The color is silver-grey with black and grey translucent parts; the skeleton itself is off-white with brown shadows.
• The skeleton is fixed in the cage and has a skull with open eye sockets and a grinning jaw.
• Care: hand wash, do not bleach, do not tumble dry, do not iron and do not steam.

How to display the caged skeleton as a decoration

A skeleton in a cage belongs to the classic Halloween imagery of dungeons, gallows and pirate ports, where prisoners were hung by chains. Because it hangs instead of stands, it is at eye level or just above it and moves slightly with the wind, which immediately catches the eye on a front door or veranda. At 50 centimeters, it is a size that also works indoors, for example in a hallway or above a set table. Hang it from a sturdy point, as the chain supports the entire weight.

Combining the caged skeleton into a complete scene

Place it next to spiderwebs, tombstones or lanterns to create a dungeon corner, or hang several at different heights for a row of prisoners. For a pirate theme, it pairs well with ropework, nets and wooden chests, as can also be seen in the atmospheric photo. A small spotlight from below casts the shadow of the bars on the wall, which enhances the effect in a dark room.
