Pink flag line garland girl 5 mtr.

The pink pennant banner for a baby girl is a 5-metre birth banner with ten triangular pennants, each printed with a stork carrying a baby. Hang it up as soon as a baby girl is born, at the baby shower, or after a gender reveal where the answer is a girl. That way, everyone who passes by or comes in can immediately see what news is being celebrated.

Print, length and pennants of the birth banner

• The banner is 5 metres long, enough to hang along a window, a fence, or above a table.
• Ten triangular plastic pennants hang from the line.
• Each pennant is pink and shows a white stork carrying a baby with blonde hair in a pink cloth in its beak.
• Light pink flowers are at the bottom of the pennants, and the cloth with the baby is tied with a light pink bow.
• The package contains only the banner itself.

The stork as a messenger of birth news

In the Netherlands and Flanders, the stork has represented the arrival of a baby for generations. That is why you see it on birth announcements, in the front garden, and on the facades of houses where a child has just been born. Pink is the colour for a girl, so this pennant banner tells what is to be celebrated with two signals at once. You can hang it both indoors and outdoors.

Which decoration shows the neighbourhood that it is a girl?

The birth pennants work best when the rest of the decoration repeats the same two colours: pink from the pennants and white from the stork. Think of pink and white balloons at the front door or a white tablecloth with pink napkins during the baby shower. At a gender reveal, keep the banner folded up until the moment itself and then hang it above the cake or the gift table. Outdoors, stretch it from window frame to window frame so that the storks hang on the street side.
