A Christmas bell is a handbell with a golden clapper and a black handle, which you ring to announce the Christmas spirit. Within the Christmas accessories collection, this is the small item you hold in your hand instead of pulling. The gold ranges from a matte, warm shade to a high-gloss finish, and the handle is black on most models.
Which Christmas bells are ready in gold in this collection?
- For Santa Claus himself, there are handbells around 15 cm that you can easily keep jingling during a gift-giving round.
- For a louder signal, there is a maxi Christmas bell in a large size with a glossy finish.
- For the table or the mantelpiece, there is a smaller model with a diameter of 7 cm, which mainly serves as Christmas decoration.
- For a funny touch, there is a bell with the text ho ho ho on it, which immediately makes it clear who is arriving.
- For the Christmas tree or a doorpost, there are bells that you can hang up instead of holding.
Choosing between a separate Santa bell and a bell with a complete costume
Choose your Christmas bell size, because that determines how far the sound carries. A bell of 12 to 15 cm is light in the hand and is comfortable when you hold it for a whole evening, while a large model attracts more attention in a full room or outside on the street. If you are playing Santa for a group of children, a larger bell works better than a decorative table model. If you are mainly decorating, you choose a bell that you can hang up and pay more attention to the shine than the sound. Women and men use the same bells, because it is about what you hold in your hand and not about a size. If you only want the sound and not the complete costume, then a separate bell is enough.
What is still missing from your Santa look?
A bell really stands out with a red jacket, so many buyers take it together with a Santa costume for the complete appearance. Those who prefer to only dress up the head combine the bell with a Christmas hat and leave it at that. The beard makes Santa recognizable before you say anything, and in the Santa beards you find everything from short models to a full white beard.
A Christmas bell for Christmas, a Christmas drink or a funny Christmas party
Christmas bells mainly come out in December, when Santa Claus visits or when the table is set. At a Christmas drink at work, ringing the bell is a handy sign that something is going to happen, and at a funny Christmas party you can link it to a game. Outside the season you also see them at a winter theme party.
